Willmoist heat from a clothes dryer set off a smoke alarm?

Smoke alarm went off while I was using my clothes dryer. The room adjacent to the dryer became very moist cad hot and the smoke alarm went off. It stopped when I opened the outside door and cooled the room. Did the heat cause the alarm to go off?
