REAL QUESTION! How would I go about learning the Christian mind-set?

I think A LOT. Things just have to make sense to me. So when I star off into nature, looking at the blue mountains, I tend to think about why there are bare spots on the mountain, and why is it blue. Everything just has to fit nicely together. But since I'm an atheist, within my musing, god never comes up. How often does god come up during religious musings of how things work? How does god fit into the picture and how often? And most importantly, and forgive me for sounding bigot-ish, how can stand accepting such a simple answer for what seems to be something so complex? Going back to the puzzle, the way I see it, it's like a 1,000 piece puzzle. Complex. But, and once again forgive me for my ignorance, but isn't your "Puzzle" more like a 100 piece one? This is mostly for debatable topics, such as evolution, abiogenises, and the big bang.
