Does wearing gles decrease the ability of the eye to focus?

I've been wearing my gles since I was in 4th grade and I'm 22 now and I seem to be able to focus well enough with them off. Although I have horrible vision anyway. Besides you can look at it this way you can eventually get contacts or Lasik later on. Actually the best Lasik surgeries available have had claims of giving people better nightvision than they had before. It could be a number of things throughout life that can cause them to be different. Either way technology in vision has advanced well enough I don't think you have anything to worry about.
